I have been drawn to the tremendous body of work by Wayne Levin and a few beautiful images in Shaun Fenn’s lifestyle portfolio for quite some time now. It usually takes a while for that initial spark to sink in and work its magic on my own photography but I have been creating studies for the past year and have finally produced some images I am excited about. Drawing from some of my absolute favorite images created for myself and for Venture Magazine in 2000-2001 in French Polynesia and Hawaii, I have put together my love of the water and my newly discovered passion for portrait photography.

I am using the same housing I used for our trip to French Polynesia and Hawaii. It’s getting a bit yellowed but is still a workhorse for me. I am currently looking into purchasing an SPL Water Housing for surf photography since Merrik is surfing and I am spending more time in the ocean again!!
