Over the last several months I have had the opportunity to completely shift my photographic experience by exploring why I continue to do photography after all these years. I have been in communication with other fine art photographers and involved in a supportive community of artists whose language is photography. This transition has helped me get back to my personal roots of what pulled me in to photography in the first place. In the process I have had the honor to meet many wonderful people. For many years I have been longing to reach out and collaborate with other photographers. I met a few who don’t only make photographs for a living but also continue to build their body of personal work. Four of us have come together to create a continuous blog link up of personal work that is in response to something the others have created.
I believe that art is not only something you make but something you experience and you-as the viewer-are part of the process. “There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.” ~Ansel Adams
Welcome to the Continuous Project with Kristianne Koch, Tytia Habing, Julia Vandenoever and Wendy Cooper. We hope that you enjoy the experience as much as we do. Follow the links through our blogs to see our visual conversation and come back here every week to follow along as our project and our correspondence grows.
We always welcome your comments! Check back here next week for the continuation
of our dialog.
